Head of Commercial Finance

A PE-backed services group at an early, exciting stage of growth is looking for a senior finance leader to establish and lead its commercial finance function.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll shape how the group plans, forecasts and measures performance. It’s a hands-on role for someone who can quickly understand the commercial model and run with it.

  • Set up the budgeting and planning process, and the templates that businesses across the group use to report in
  • Turn that data into forecasts, and sharpen the KPIs and insight the board and investors rely on
  • Lead the monthly performance review and partner with business leaders to turn the numbers into decisions
  • Be the finance voice on acquisitions, from modelling through to bringing new businesses into group reporting
  • Improve data quality and automate reporting as the group scales

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
