Axon Moore is partnering with a fast-growing global hospitality business that delivers exceptional premium services, and innovative commercial solutions that enhance the consumer journey. With a rapidly expanding global footprint, the organisation is redefining hospitality through data-driven insight, operational excellence, and world-class customer experience.
The business is now looking to appoint a Head of Commercial Finance to play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance, shaping strategic decision-making, and supporting continued growth across its hospitality division.
Salary: £80,000 - £95,000 + 20% bonus + 10% pension
Location: South Manchester (with hybrid working)
Reporting to: Commercial Finance Director / CFO
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders across lounges, commercial, operations, and customer experience
- Provide insight, challenge, and guidance on pricing, contracts, customer profitability, and commercial decisions
- Translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for non-finance leaders
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the lounges division
- Build financial models to assess performance, investment opportunities, new lounge openings, and strategic scenarios
- Analyse revenue streams, cost drivers, and margin performance to identify risks and opportunities

Performance Management & Reporting
- Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful management reporting
- Track and monitor key financial and operational KPIs across lounge performance
- Provide variance analysis and commentary to support decision-making and drive accountability
Commercial Strategy & Growth
- Support business case development for new lounge openings, refurbishments, pricing strategies, and commercial initiatives
- Drive improvements in profitability, cost efficiency, and return on investment
- Partner cross-functionally (sales, marketing, operations) to align financial and commercial objectives
Governance & Controls
- Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and reporting standards
- Maintain consistency across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
- Identify and mitigate financial and commercial risks
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial finance team
- Build a high-performance, collaborative finance function
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and reporting tools

- Revenue growth and gross margin improvement across lounges
- Forecast accuracy and quality of financial insight
- ROI on new lounge openings and commercial initiatives
- Cost optimisation and operating efficiency
- Cash flow and working capital performance
- Timeliness and accuracy of reporting
Person Specification:
Skills & Experience
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Significant experience in commercial finance or financial leadership roles
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving capability
- Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
- Advanced data and reporting skills (Excel, financial systems)
