Oakleaf are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to hire a Head of Commercial Learning on an initial 9-12 month basis (with a view to going permanent).

This is a high-profile opportunity to join a newly evolving Talent function with strong sponsorship from senior leadership and a genuine mandate for change. The business is investing heavily in modernising its learning capability, commercial effectiveness, and leadership infrastructure following a large-scale integration and wider org transformation.

Reporting into the Director of Talent, the Commercial Learning Manager will manage a team responsible for both business-facing learning and business systems training across the organisation.

This role will suit someone who combines strategic thinking with a highly hands-on approach. While there is a strong consultancy and stakeholder element, the immediate focus is on execution, programme delivery, team leadership, and helping build scalable commercial learning capability within a fast-moving environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
