Role Overview

Are you a commercially driven leader with a proven track record of growing businesses across the UK and Europe?

Do you have the strategic vision to identify new markets, develop successful commercial strategies and lead sales and marketing functions to deliver sustainable growth?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing international medical technology business at a pivotal stage in its development, where you will have the opportunity to shape commercial strategy, influence business direction and make a real impact on future growth.

Working as part of the senior leadership team, you will take overall responsibility for commercial performance across the UK and Europe, combining strategic leadership with the ability to turn opportunities into measurable results.

Duties

  • Developing and delivering commercial strategies to drive revenue growth across the UK and European markets.
  • Taking ownership of commercial budgets, forecasting, pricing strategy and overall financial performance.
  • Leading marketing strategy, strengthening lead generation and maximising marketing's contribution to business growth.
  • Identifying new markets, distribution opportunities and strategic partnerships to expand the organisation's European presence.
  • Overseeing commercial negotiations, tenders, contracts and key strategic agreements.
  • Driving successful product launches and developing effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Managing and developing the sales leadership function, ensuring commercial strategy translates into strong sales performance.
  • Establishing performance measures and incentive structures that align teams with business objectives.
  • Developing the wider commercial function in line with the organisation's growth ambitions.
  • Working closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities, improve performance and support wider business initiatives.

Your Background

  • Significant experience in a senior commercial leadership role, with clear evidence of delivering business growth.
  • A proven track record of developing and executing commercial strategies across the UK and multiple European markets.
  • Strong understanding of European customers, distribution networks, sales channels and routes to market.
  • Experience leading or overseeing sales and marketing functions.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and margin management.
  • Confidence in negotiating strategic agreements and building long-term commercial partnerships.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on commercial decision-making.

Desirable Experience

  • A background in medical devices, healthcare technology, medical simulation or education.
  • Experience bringing new products to market across Europe.
  • Experience developing and scaling international commercial teams.
  • Additional European language skills is a plus
