About Carbon13

Carbon13 is a Cambridge and Berlin-based venture builder, early-stage investor and corporate innovation partner in climate and Earth's vital systems — over 100 ventures backed, with corporate partners including Arm, Barclays, Siemens Energy Ventures, HSFK and EY. We're entering a growth phase, expanding into the Netherlands in 2027, and hiring a senior commercial leader to build the partnership engine that funds it.

The Role

Own and grow Carbon13's corporate partnership revenue. You'll personally originate and close deals across our three-tier Growth Phase offer and five sector themes (Chemicals & Materials, Enabling Platforms, Food Systems, Built Environment, Energy & Mobility). You'll inherit a strong platform — an active pipeline and credible existing partners — and your job is to convert that into signed, recurring revenue.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Own

  • Closing deals — your primary focus. Personally source and close partnerships, with the ambition of signing within your first six months, bringing your own network from day one.
  • Revenue growth — build materially on our existing base, with an ambition to at least double it in 24 months. You're judged on deals signed, not pipeline managed.
  • Proposition and team — sharpen our partnership offer, help shape new revenue lines

What You'll Bring

  • A track record of personally closing corporate partnerships or complex commercial deals at £50k+ ticket size
  • An existing network across industrials, energy, construction, financial services, or corporate innovation
  • Experience selling innovation, deep tech, hardware or sustainability propositions — not a purely SaaS/martech background
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset, comfortable in a business that's mid-growth and still resolving its future shape

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary (4 or 5 days/week), performance-related pay tied to new partnership revenue, share options (4-year vesting, 1-year cliff), and participation in our shadow carry structure.
  • Hybrid, Cambridge/London-based with regular Berlin travel.

How to Apply

Send a CV and a short note — no formal cover letter — with two or three examples of corporate partnerships you've personally closed (the buyer, ticket size, your role, timeline, and what year two looked like).

Carbon13 is committed to building a diverse team and welcomes applications from all backgrounds. If you're unsure whether your experience fits, please apply — we would rather have the conversation than filter you out.
