We're looking for an experienced Head of Commercial Planning to play a pivotal role in shaping and managing our portfolio of commercial initiatives. This is a highly visible leadership position, responsible for ensuring that our investments, product developments and commercial activities are prioritised effectively and deliver meaningful outcomes for both our customers and the organisation.
Working across multiple business functions, you'll provide strategic oversight and governance, helping turn commercial ambitions into deliverable plans that drive growth and long-term success.
About The Role
As Head of Commercial Planning, you'll lead the development of a structured and strategic approach to commercial planning and portfolio management. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities, assess priorities and ensure initiatives are delivered effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and embedding a commercial planning framework that translates business strategy into a clear and prioritised portfolio of initiatives.
- Partnering with senior leaders across the Customer organisation to identify growth opportunities and future capability investments.
- Managing and overseeing the commercial demand portfolio, ensuring resources and investment are aligned to strategic priorities.
- Establishing effective governance and prioritisation processes to support both immediate business opportunities and long-term transformation goals.
- Supporting investment decisions through robust business cases, commercial analysis and value assessments.
- Providing oversight of commercial delivery activity and ensuring alignment across Product, Technology, Operations, Marketing, Finance and Commercial teams.
- Leading governance forums and supplying senior stakeholders with insights, recommendations and progress reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Building, developing and leading a high-performing Commercial Planning team, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability and data-driven decision making.

About You
We're seeking a strategic leader who combines commercial insight with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate complex organisational environments.
To be successful in this role, you'll demonstrate:
- A proven ability to build, develop and lead high-performing teams.
- Significant experience within commercial strategy, commercial planning, portfolio management, business transformation or a similar discipline.
- A strong track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional programmes, portfolios or strategic initiatives.
- Excellent commercial and financial acumen, with experience evaluating opportunities and supporting investment decisions.
- The ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across a broad range of business functions.
- Strong governance, prioritisation and decision-making capabilities within a complex environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights and drive organisational alignment.
