Real Estate Lawyer Opportunity in Manchester

I’m working with a well-established alternative law firm in Manchester, backed by a major US insurer, who are looking to strengthen their Real Estate offering.

This is a slightly different opportunity to the traditional private practice route. The firm sits within a wider insurance group and works closely with a range of established businesses, giving its lawyers access to a strong client base and a good level of autonomy.

The Real Estate hire is a key one for the business. There is already work coming through from a number of major clients, including acquisitive businesses with growing property portfolios, with further opportunities expected through the wider group.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

As a result, they are open to speaking with experienced Senior Associates, Legal Directors and Partners. You don't need to be a traditional Head of Real Estate, nor do you necessarily need a large following. The key is being able to handle matters independently, deal directly with clients and have an interest in helping develop the offering.

  • Existing client work from day one, with further opportunities developing through the wider group

What They're Looking For

I'm particularly interested in speaking with experienced Real Estate lawyers who are looking for more ownership and the opportunity to help build something, without necessarily having to make the immediate jump into a traditional law firm partnership.

You should have a strong commercial property background, be comfortable managing your own matters and clients, and ideally have an interest in developing the wider practice.

If you're open to hearing more, I'm happy to have a confidential chat and give you the full details.
