Lead the commercial future of two iconic media brands.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced commercial leader to join a highly respected specialist media and events business during a period of transformation and growth.
This organisation owns two market-leading brands that sit at the heart of their respective industries, serving engaged professional audiences through content, events, awards, partnerships, subscriptions and advertising. With a rich heritage and a strong reputation for editorial excellence, the business is bringing its brands together under a unified commercial strategy and entering an ambitious new phase of development.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the Executive Group, you will be responsible for leading commercial performance across multiple revenue streams while managing a team of experienced senior leaders.

As Head of Commercial, you will:
- Lead commercial strategy delivery across advertising, sponsorship, partnerships, subscriptions and events.
- Manage and develop a team of senior leaders across sales, partnerships, marketing and events.
- Drive revenue growth and maximise commercial opportunities across multiple brands.
- Build alignment across teams during a period of organisational change.
- Work closely with the Managing Director and Executive Group to execute strategic priorities.
- Ensure commercial decisions balance revenue growth with the integrity and reputation of trusted industry brands.
- Support the continued growth of events, sponsorship and audience-driven revenue streams.
- Create a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
