Job Summary

As the Head of Commercial for the Power Systems & Renewables Scotland Division at Aureos, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial success and strategic growth within the division. You will lead a team of commercial professionals, overseeing all commercial aspects of projects within the Power Systems & Renewables sector. You will be responsible for maximising profitability, mitigating risks, and ensuring contractual compliance while fostering strong client relationships and driving business development initiatives.

Job Description

  • Leading the commercial management of the business and ensuring robust governance throughout the project lifecycle, including tender and framework bids
  • Managing and developing the commercial team, providing leadership, support, and mentoring
  • Overseeing procurement strategies and subcontractor management activities
  • Managing project cost reporting, forecasting, cash flow, and commercial performance
  • Ensuring effective management of variations, change control, and commercial risk
  • Supporting contract administration and ensuring contractual compliance
  • Working closely with operational, design, and planning teams to maximise project performance
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
  • Providing commercial insight and reporting to senior project and business stakeholders

Essential

  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Track record of managing complex, high-value projects and programmes.
  • Contractual knowledge, including NEC and other industry-standard forms of contract.
  • Experience leading commercial teams and driving business performance.
