Head of Commercial
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Head of Commercial to lead and scale the commercial function during a critical growth phase. This role will own the complete customer lifecycle, from executive-level engagement and commercial negotiations through implementation, adoption, expansion, and long-term value creation. You will play a key role in shaping customer outcomes, influencing product development, and helping define the future direction of the business. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams while leading a commercial organisation responsible for customer success, implementation, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end customer lifecycle from implementation through renewal and expansion.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and executive decision-makers.
- Lead complex technology and AI-driven customer deployments.
- Ensure successful customer adoption and value realisation.
- Manage, coach, and develop Commercial, Account Management, and Implementation teams.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to provide customer insights and influence product direction.
- Build scalable commercial processes, frameworks, and operating models.
- Support go-to-market initiatives, growth strategies, and expansion plans.
- Drive customer retention, revenue growth, and commercial performance.
- Develop and execute the hiring and organisational plan for the commercial function.

Required Experience
- 6+ years of commercial leadership experience.
- Strong background within B2B SaaS, enterprise software, AI, technology, or high-growth digital businesses.
- Proven experience managing complex enterprise customer relationships.
- Track record of leading commercial growth and driving revenue outcomes.
- Experience building or scaling commercial teams and functions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage at C-suite level.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.
- Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability.
- Demonstrated success in leading transformation, adoption, and change management initiatives.

Preferred Background
- You may have:
- Started your career in strategy consulting, investment banking, or a similar analytical environment before moving into commercial leadership.
- Worked within a startup, scale-up, or high-growth technology company.
