Job Description
This is a high-profile, senior appointment at a pivotal moment for Endava. We are a technology driven business transformation group, (NYSE: DAVA) with 11,400 people across 28 countries, and we are in a period of genuine transformation, reshaping our business, our offer and our growth story. Communications is one of the essential mechanisms that will make that transformation land, internally and externally, and make it credible to the market.
The Head of Communications is responsible for building out a global external communications and PR function that creates real market presence across all our markets, while influencing our internal Endavans to proudly become brand ambassadors.
This role requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution. The successful candidate will serve as the strategic communications partner to business and commercial leadership building the narratives, relationships and platforms that strengthen Endava’s market presence, support long-term growth, and ensure one consistent story is told across every audience and market.
- Build Endava's global external communications and PR function — sustained, campaigning, present across the year, not announcement-led. A function that orchestrates a team across global and regional comms serving all needs of the business.
- Design and lead integrated campaigns across earned, owned and paid media channels, built around real moments: product news, partnerships, milestones, thought leadership.
- Own and protect the external narrative across all markets, day to day, working within our brand framework and tone of voice as it develops with our brand agency.
- Shape and own iconic pillars of thought leadership globally, aligning across our industry GoToMarket themes, executed in a way that elevates Endava’s brand and begins to differentiate us in market.
- Build and grow personal relationships with tier one and trade press — credibility that sits with you, not solely with an agency.
- Shape our presence across brand, advertising, publications, events, awards and speaking platforms.
- Play an active role in reputation and issues management, supporting the wider crisis response when needed.
- Help to design and implement a robust, engaging and streamlined internal comms program.
- Build a pipeline of compelling stories and case studies that brings our work to life, highlight client and industry successes and business impact, driving client advocacy programs across our regional and global events.
- Partner with Investor Relations and analyst relations team, partnering with legal and executives to formulate our formal communications content.
- Build close working relationships across the business, including commercial, partners, and regional leadership so communications are grounded in what's happening in the company and what is important to be communicated.
- Support on building and managing relationships with analyst firms that matter to our growth, e.g. Gartner, Forrester and equivalents.
- Design how we educate employees to be genuine, confident brand ambassadors.
- Identify, develop and enable Endava's Key People of Influence – senior people across the business who can credibly represent our story externally through media, events, content and social presences.
- Play a critical leadership role in setting and executing a global external communications program, operating as a Hub and Spoke model with regional external comms leaders for APAC, EMEA and the USA.
- Own stakeholder management across the communications function.
- Work alongside Director of brand and comms to deliver Endava's first proper KPI and measurement framework for communications, reported quarterly as part of our wider marketing reporting.
- Establish governance over how the function runs — priorities, spend, decision-making, team disciplines, with consistent review and building on successes.
- Bring a clear, explainable rationale for every partnership — agencies, media, industry bodies, platforms.
- Own the Communications budget, managing agency spend, allocating resources across programmes and ensuring investment decisions are evidence based and commercially justified.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
