Head of Communications and Engagement
Harris Hill is delighted to be partnering with Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF), the UK’s leading patient charity for people affected by pulmonary fibrosis, to recruit their new Head of Communications and Engagement. This role provides an excellent opportunity for you to lead an integrated communications, marketing and engagement plan.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will relish in taking ownership of the charity’s engagement plans; turn organisational priorities into an integrated strategy, set clear standards and measures, advise senior leaders and ensure that marketing, media, content, digital and internal communications work together.

Lead the whole function and help APF communicate its services, research, policy, fundraising and impact with greater reach and consistency.
We are keen to hear from fantastic leaders, with senior experience of leading multi-channel communications and marketing, and a strong record of turning strategy and audience insight into focused plans and measured delivery. Charity sector experience is essential, and experience working within health more specifically, is desirable.
Job Details:
- Location: Remote, with minimum 1 day a month in Peterborough office. Occasional travel to London for leadership meetings.
- Type: Permanent, and full-time hours.
- Salary: £50-£55,000
- Benefits: 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays. Workplace pension and life assurance.
