Head of Community & Events | Luxury UHNW Sector
London | Hybrid (4 days in office)
We're partnering with a fast-growing consumer scale-up operating in a genuinely premium, high-value space, serving an audience that's accustomed to the very best and rarely impressed by the ordinary.
With offices across the world, the business has built an exceptional reputation and is now entering an exciting new chapter following the appointment of its first Chief Marketing Officer. As part of that journey, they're continuing to invest in an established marketing team of around 10 specialists and are now looking for a Head of Community & Events to define how one of the world's most exclusive investor communities engages with the brand.
This isn't a traditional events role. It's not about simply delivering exceptional experiences. It's about defining how a premium brand builds community, strengthens relationships and creates long-term advocacy with one of the world's most discerning audiences. Events, partnerships, thought leadership and premium hospitality are simply the mechanisms you'll use to achieve that.
This is a highly strategic, commercially focused leadership role sitting at the heart of the marketing function. You'll partner closely with Marketing, Commercial and Executive Leadership to shape the long-term community strategy and build a function that becomes a genuine competitive advantage for the business.
This role is for someone with exceptional taste and judgement. Someone who instinctively knows what excellence looks like, understands premium service, and has the confidence to influence senior stakeholders while making strategic decisions that strengthen both the brand and the business.
Why This Role?
- Join an established international business with the pace, ownership and ambition of a scale-up.
- Become part of an ambitious marketing team of around 10 specialists that's continuing to grow.
- Own one of the business's most important customer engagement and advocacy channels.
- Define how community contributes to long-term commercial growth through stronger relationships, referrals and customer lifetime value.
- Shape a function with significant visibility across Marketing, Commercial and Executive Leadership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Be Doing
- Define and own the long-term strategy for Community & Events, ensuring every initiative supports wider commercial objectives.
- Build a community that people genuinely want to be part of, creating meaningful opportunities for members to connect with one another and the brand.
- Design and deliver a calendar of world-class experiences including private dinners, executive roundtables, networking evenings, flagship customer events, premium hospitality and strategic partner activations.
- Develop strategic partnerships that strengthen the community, elevate the brand and unlock new opportunities for customer engagement and growth.
- Identify where the business should show up across key industry moments, building a presence through carefully curated experiences and partnerships.
- Influence senior leadership on where investment should be made, using customer insight and commercial outcomes to shape future community initiatives.
- Create distinctive experiences that become synonymous with the brand and reinforce its premium positioning.
- Ensure every touchpoint reflects the expectations of an ultra-high-net-worth audience.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of every experience, coordinating agencies, suppliers, venues and partners while maintaining exceptional execution standards.
- Build scalable frameworks and operational playbooks that ensure world-class delivery as the function grows.
- Define how success is measured, using advocacy, referrals, customer engagement and long-term commercial impact rather than simply attendance numbers.
What We're Looking For
- Experience defining the strategy behind premium events, community, partnerships or client engagement programmes, rather than simply delivering them.
- A background creating exceptional experiences for ultra-high-net-worth, affluent or premium audiences.
- A commercial mindset with a clear understanding of how community, partnerships and experiences drive advocacy, referrals, customer acquisition and long-term customer value.
- Someone with the confidence and executive presence to influence senior stakeholders and operate as a strategic partner to leadership.
- Experience balancing long-term strategic thinking with exceptional operational execution.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills, equally comfortable engaging C-suite executives, partners and VIP customers.
- Exceptional organisational ability, capable of managing multiple complex workstreams without compromising quality.
- Impeccable attention to detail and exceptionally high standards.
- Someone with the judgement to know not only how to create a world-class experience, but why that experience should exist in the first place.
- You're comfortable saying no. You'll be expected to challenge senior stakeholders, make judgement calls on where the brand should and shouldn't show up, and confidently explain the commercial rationale behind those decisions.

What We Mean By Commercial
This role isn't measured by the number of events you deliver. It's measured by whether community becomes a genuine commercial growth lever for the business.
We're looking for someone who naturally thinks beyond execution and asks questions such as:
- Why should we run this event?
- How does this strengthen relationships with our highest-value members?
- How does this create advocacy, referrals and long-term loyalty?
- Why is this the right partner for our brand?
- What commercial outcome are we trying to achieve?
- How should we measure success beyond attendance?
- If an initiative isn't strengthening the brand or creating commercial value, should we continue doing it?
You'll use community, partnerships and premium experiences as strategic tools to deepen relationships, influence customer behaviour and support the long-term growth of the business.
