Head of Compiler Development – AI Inferencing Solutions
Location – UK/ Hybrid
Highly attractive six-figure package + Stock
Our client is a new name in the world of machine learning and artificial intelligence hardware systems. The company has recently come out of stealth mode and has already closed $multi-million backing from premier US and European venture firms.
The company’s exciting vision involves building a full-stack AI accelerator from the ground up, and the compiler team sits at the heart of how the company delivers performance. As the Engineering Manager for Compilers, you will build and lead a team of high calibre engineers developing the compiler stack for novel AI acceleration hardware, with direct responsibility for enabling industry-leading LLM inference performance for our client’s accelerators.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where the compiler team works closely with hardware, driver, runtime and ML engineers across the stack.
To be considered for this opportunity you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and industry background:
- Proven experience in compiler development, with experience of machine learning compilers and industry standard technologies such as MLIR or TVM.
- Have delivered a production-quality ML compiler stack supporting state-of-the-art AI models.
- Achieved significant performance improvements across key AI workloads.
- Established robust engineering processes and development practices.
- Ability to influence next-generation processor architecture through hardware/software co-design.
- Proven track record of leadership experience managing a high-performance development team and delivering consistently outstanding outcomes.
- Excellent C/C++ skills and solid experience of industry standard development tools and technologies.
- Proven leadership in building and scaling high-performance engineering teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels through to SVP/CEO and senior customer decision makers.
