Head of Compliance & Regulation | Fintech / Payments | Fully Remote
Fully Remote | England-based | Senior Leadership Opportunity
A fast-growing international fintech is looking for a Head of Compliance & Regulation to take ownership of its regulatory strategy and help shape the next stage of its growth.
This is a fully remote opportunity, giving you the flexibility to work from anywhere in England while operating at a senior level within an international fintech environment.
You'll have real ownership and influence - working closely with Product, Payments, Treasury, Engineering, and senior leadership to ensure compliance isn't simply a function of the business, but is embedded into how products are built, launched, and scaled.
Why this opportunity?
This isn't a role where you'll simply be maintaining an existing compliance framework. You'll have the opportunity to build, develop, and shape the compliance function as the business continues to expand across international markets.
You'll be involved in:
- Building and evolving the company's compliance and regulatory framework
- Supporting international expansion and entry into new markets
- Managing relationships with regulators, banks, PSPs, acquiring partners, and other key stakeholders
- Advising Product and Engineering teams on how to build compliance into new products and payment flows
- Owning frameworks across AML, CFT, sanctions, transaction monitoring, KYC/KYB, and financial crime
- Leading regulatory engagement, licensing, approvals, and reporting across multiple jurisdictions
- Navigating regulatory change and translating requirements into practical business solutions
- Managing external compliance advisors and specialist service providers
- Helping create a scalable compliance function that supports โ rather than slows down โ growth

Iโm in my final year doing Economics and I donโt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer โ it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donโt need a masters. Letโs look at the ones youโd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet โ that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
