Middlemore are retained with an investment management business, who are seeking a Senior Compliance Leader to join at a pivotal stage of its development. Key responsibilities

  • Lead the compliance agenda and set clear priorities, standards, and direction.
  • Develop and maintain a proportionate, risk-based compliance framework.
  • Provide trusted advice to senior leadership, investment teams, and support functions on regulatory, governance, and conduct matters.
  • Support the full investment lifecycle, including deal structuring, due diligence, execution, and exit.
  • Work closely with investment teams and investment committees to ensure compliance with investment guidelines, fund mandates, risk limits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review marketing materials, fund reporting documents, and regulatory announcements.
  • Assist with client onboarding, categorisation, suitability assessments, and cross-border distribution requirements.
  • Oversee governance arrangements, policies, procedures, and controls across the firm and relevant portfolio companies.
  • Design and operate targeted compliance monitoring and reporting focused on key risks.
  • Oversee financial crime, AML, sanctions, and anti-bribery and corruption controls.
  • Monitor FCA and wider regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.
  • Engage with regulators, advisers, and auditors where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
