Head of Conduct
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Head of Conduct to join our London-based fintech as we continue to grow and build a strong, responsible and customer-focused business.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for developing and embedding a strong conduct and compliance culture across the organisation, ensuring that our business operates with integrity, transparency and in line with applicable regulatory requirements.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Lead the development and implementation of the company’s conduct framework, policies and procedures.
- Promote a strong culture of good customer outcomes, integrity, accountability and responsible business practices.
- Provide senior-level advice on conduct-related regulatory requirements and best practice across the business.
- Identify, assess and manage conduct risks, ensuring appropriate controls and mitigation plans are in place.
- Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal and senior stakeholders to ensure conduct considerations are embedded into business decisions.
- Monitor and challenge business practices where necessary, providing clear and constructive recommendations.
- Develop and oversee conduct-related monitoring, reviews and management information.
- Support the business in maintaining high standards of governance and regulatory compliance.
- Keep up to date with regulatory developments and industry expectations, proactively assessing their impact on the organisation.
- Develop and deliver training and guidance to employees, helping to embed a strong conduct culture throughout the company.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on conduct, culture and customer-related matters.

What we’re looking for
- 7+ years of experience in conduct, compliance, risk or a closely related function within financial services.
- Strong understanding of conduct risk, regulatory expectations and governance within financial services.
- Experience operating in a regulated environment, ideally within payments, fintech or financial technology.
- Proven ability to develop and embed policies, frameworks and controls across an organisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and translate them into practical solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders when required.
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- A proactive, pragmatic and commercially aware approach to conduct and regulatory matters.

Desirable
- Experience within the payments industry.
- Familiarity with FCA expectations and the UK regulatory environment.
- Experience working with fintech businesses and rapidly evolving regulatory frameworks.
- Relevant professional qualification such as ICA or equivalent.
