About The Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape how North Northamptonshire Council listens to residents, advances equality and inclusion, supports effective decision-making and delivers high-quality corporate services.
As Head of Consultation, Engagement and Corporate Support, you will lead a diverse portfolio covering consultation and engagement, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Executive Support, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Mailroom and Print Services.
What will you be doing?
You Will
- Provide strategic leadership across consultation, engagement, inclusion, executive support and corporate support services
- Lead the development of corporate strategies, policies and frameworks that embed resident voice, equality, accessibility and social responsibility
- Advise senior leaders, elected Members and decision-making bodies on complex, high-profile and politically sensitive matters
- Oversee meaningful consultation and engagement, ensuring residents and stakeholders can influence policy and service design
- Strengthen governance, executive support and organisational coordination
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, manage significant budgets and resources, and represent the Council locally, regionally and nationally
About You
You will be an experienced senior leader with a strong track record of leading corporate or cross-organisational services in a large and complex environment. You will bring excellent knowledge of consultation and engagement, equality duties, governance and evidence-led decision-making, together with the ability to influence senior leaders and elected Members.

You will be an exceptional communicator and strategic thinker who can interpret complex information, build consensus, manage competing priorities and lead high-performing teams. A degree-level qualification, or equivalent significant senior leadership experience, and evidence of continuing professional development are essential.
