Contract Length: contract until end December
Rate: £550-700 per day (Depending on experience)
Lead Consumer Insight for One of the World's Most Recognised Brands
We are seeking an experienced Head of Consumer & Market Insight to join a leading global FMCG organisation on an interim basis. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior insight professional to shape consumer strategy across high-profile beauty categories, influencing commercial decisions and driving growth through consumer-centric thinking.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will lead the delivery of actionable consumer, shopper and market insights that inform strategic decision-making across the UK & Ireland business.
The Opportunity
As Head Of Consumer & Market Insight, You Will
- Lead the consumer intelligence strategy across key beauty categories.
- Provide deep consumer, shopper and market understanding to support business growth.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity and evolving consumer behaviours.
- Translate complex data into clear, commercially focused recommendations.
- Influence senior stakeholders through compelling insight-led storytelling.
- Identify growth opportunities through strategic consumer and market analysis.
- Support innovation, product launches and category development initiatives.
- Drive consumer-centric thinking across multiple business functions.
- Ensure insights are converted into measurable business outcomes.

What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Significant experience in Consumer Insights, Market Insight or Consumer Intelligence leadership roles.
- Proven success applying insight-driven strategies within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research expertise.
- Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Experience partnering with and influencing senior leadership teams.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret multiple data sources.
- Exceptional presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience delivering complex projects within demanding timescales.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong relationship-building abilities.
Ideal Background
- FMCG, Beauty, Retail or Consumer Goods experience.
- Category, brand or shopper insight expertise.
- Experience working within complex matrix organisations.
- Strong understanding of digital consumer behaviour and modern shopper journeys.
