Role Description

The Head of Content is a full-time, on-site role based in London, responsible for leading Ergon Grid’s content strategy and execution across all channels. This role oversees the planning, creation, and management of content that engages students, graduates, and employers, including website copy, blog articles, thought leadership pieces, newsletters, and platform messaging.

  • Leading Ergon Grid’s content strategy and execution across all channels
  • Overseeing the planning, creation, and management of engaging content
  • Managing the content calendar
  • Coordinating with marketing, product, and partnerships teams
  • Ensuring consistent brand voice and messaging
  • Directing content development
  • Guiding editorial standards
  • Analyzing content performance
  • Optimizing content for audience growth
  • Mentoring a small content team or external contributors
  • Staying informed about trends in education, early careers, and talent acquisition to inform content themes and campaigns

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in content strategy and content development, with the ability to align content plans to organizational goals.
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to produce clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate content for multiple formats.
  • Experience in content management and editorial oversight, including managing content calendars and ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Background in leading or coordinating content initiatives across digital platforms, preferably within education, careers, or talent-focused organizations.
  • Ability to analyze content performance using metrics and tools, and to translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles and digital content best practices.
  • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing contributors or agencies.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory communication and an interest in student, graduate, and early-career employment markets.
