Head of Content Operations

Location: London (Hybrid working required)
Contract: Freelance / Temporary Contract
Duration: Initial contract with potential to convert to permanent
Start Date: ASAP
IR35: Inside
Rate: Competitive Daily Rate

Are you a strategic content operations leader who thrives on transforming creative ecosystems, driving organisational change and building high-performing teams?

We're partnering with a leading consumer-focused organisation undergoing a significant content transformation programme. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape and lead a new content operating model, aligning content investment, resources and capabilities with commercial priorities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the design and delivery of a UK&I content operating model.
  • Develop and implement the content transformation roadmap.
  • Define how in-house teams, agency partners, freelance talent and global content resources work together within a connected ecosystem.
  • Establish governance, prioritisation frameworks and ways of working.
  • Align content investment and resource allocation with business goals and growth opportunities.
  • Lead content demand and capacity planning across multiple stakeholders.
  • Build strategic partnerships with creative, production and content delivery partners.
  • Drive innovation through AI, automation and emerging content technologies.
  • Lead and develop internal creative and content operations teams.

What we're looking for:

  • Significant experience in Content Operations, Creative Operations, Marketing Operations or Agency Leadership.
  • Proven success leading large-scale transformation programmes and operating model design.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and resource prioritisation.
  • Expertise managing complex stakeholder environments and external partnerships.
  • Experience leading teams through organisational change.
  • Strong understanding of content production, digital marketing and global-to-local content delivery models.
  • Knowledge of AI, automation and future content technologies.
