The Transport Innovation Alliance (TIA) is a global peer-to-peer network of transport leaders, agencies and industry partners working together to advance innovation, share best practice and develop practical solutions to the most pressing challenges facing urban mobility.

As part of the Cities Today Institute (CTI), TIA delivers trusted intelligence, collaborative working groups, executive forums, research reports, playbooks and strategic initiatives that help members accelerate progress and deliver better transport outcomes.

The Shared Micromobility Alliance is the first public-private network in Europe dedicated to scaling the benefits and tackling the challenges of shared micromobility systems in cities.

Role overview

The Head of Content will play a central role in shaping, producing and delivering the Alliances’ knowledge, content and member engagement activities. This position combines editorial leadership, research, programme management and stakeholder engagement to ensure members receive high-value insights, actionable outputs and opportunities for collaboration.

What you will do

  • Develop and manage the Alliances’ editorial calendar and content strategy.
  • Research, write and edit news articles, feature stories, reports, executive briefings and member updates.
  • Conduct interviews with transport leaders, policymakers, operators, technology providers and subject matter experts.
  • Ensure all content meets CTI's editorial standards for quality, accuracy and relevance.
  • Onboard speakers (cities and sponsors) for in-person forums including discussions on presentations.
  • Support the Global Director of Mobility on moderation at both internal and external events.
  • Lead the development of benchmarking reports, insight papers, case studies and industry analyses.
  • Transform working group discussions and member insights into actionable outputs.
  • Develop playbooks, frameworks, guidance documents and best-practice resources for member organisations.

What we’re looking for

Editorial & Content Skills

  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading abilities.
  • Strong interviewing skills, including conducting executive-level interviews.
  • Experience producing reports, research papers, white papers, case studies, playbooks and briefing documents.
  • Ability to translate complex technical, policy and operational topics into clear, engaging content.
  • Experience managing editorial calendars and content workflows.
  • Experience working with senior leaders, public-sector executives and industry partners including moderating panels and sessions at events.

Industry Knowledge

  • Understanding of transport, mobility, urban innovation and smart city ecosystems.
  • Awareness of public-sector decision-making processes and policy development.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and innovation trends affecting transport and infrastructure and the companies providing them.
  • Knowledge of membership organisations, alliances or peer-learning networks is advantageous.
