Role Overview
This is a critical leadership role responsible for the end-to-end performance of SEBL's operational functions, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality delivery across onboarding, metering and settlement, gas operations, and technical billing. The role will provide strategic and operational leadership to drive operational excellence, reduce cost-to-serve, and safeguard customer and business outcomes, while supporting SEBL's recovery and long-term growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the transformation and continuous improvement of Core Operations
- Embed a high-performance, data-driven culture focused on accountability, efficiency, and service excellence
- Ensure operational readiness for change
- Strengthen governance and compliance
- Optimise processes and resources
- Develop high-performing teams capable of delivering sustainable operational and commercial results
Skills and Experience Required
- Extensive senior leadership experience managing complex operational functions, large teams, and multi-layered delivery environments
- Strong technical and operational expertise across energy operations, including metering, settlement, gas operations, billing, and revenue assurance
- Proven track record of delivering operational transformation, process optimisation, automation, and embedding sustainable change
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management, operational controls, and compliance within regulated environments

Hybrid Working
Hybrid working typically means 2 days in the office location listed on this advert and 3 days working at home each week. Some occasional travel to our other offices may be required.
