Role Description
The Head of Corporate will lead the firm’s corporate law department, overseeing a portfolio of corporate transactions, restructurings, and advisory matters for business clients. This full-time, on-site role, based in the Greater Manchester Area, United Kingdom, will involve managing and mentoring the corporate team, supervising complex matters, and ensuring high standards of client service and legal quality.

- Commercial contracts
While maintaining strong client relationships and developing new business opportunities. The role also includes:
- Collaborating with other practice areas
- Supporting strategic decisions for the firm
- Contributing to process improvements and knowledge management within the department
Qualifications
- Significant post-qualification experience in corporate law, including leading complex transactions and advisory mandates for business clients.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with experience supervising lawyers and support staff and fostering a collaborative culture, would be preferred but not essential.
- Strong client relationship and business development skills, including the ability to build networks, generate new work, and retain key clients.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and the ability to deliver clear, commercially focused advice.
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) in the United Kingdom, with a strong academic background and a track record in reputable commercial or corporate practices.
- Ability to work on-site in the Manchester Area and coordinate effectively with colleagues in other practice areas.
- Experience in related areas such as commercial contracts, corporate governance, and cross-border matters is highly beneficial.
- Commitment to ethical practice, cost-effective service delivery, and transparent communication with clients and colleagues.
