An ambitious, PE-backed FS platform is looking to appoint a Head of Corporate Development to lead its M&A function during an exciting phase of accelerated growth.

Having recently secured new investment, the business has an established acquisition track record and is entering the next stage of its buy-and-build strategy, with significant capital available to support further UK acquisitions.

This is a rare opportunity to lead the Corporate Development agenda, partnering closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Board and private equity investors to shape the future of a rapidly scaling business.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end M&A lifecycle, including:

  • Developing and executing the acquisition strategy alongside senior leadership
  • Building and maintaining relationships with founders, advisers and intermediaries
  • Leading deal origination, evaluation, negotiation and execution
  • Managing financial, commercial and operational due diligence
  • Presenting investment recommendations to Executive and Board stakeholders
  • Working closely with integration teams to ensure successful post-deal delivery
  • Managing external advisers throughout transactions
  • Helping shape broader strategic initiatives across the Group

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
