Are you an ambitious Corporate Partner or Senior Corporate Lawyer looking for the opportunity to build something of your own?
This could be an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded national law firm in Nottingham and take a leading role in establishing and developing its East Midlands Corporate practice.
This is much more than a role within an established team. The firm is looking for a lawyer with the ambition, commercial drive and network to build a corporate offering across the East Midlands, with Nottingham at its heart.
The Opportunity
The firm already has a strong national platform and an established client base, but is looking to significantly strengthen its Corporate offering in the region.
You will have the opportunity to take ownership of the East Midlands Corporate strategy, develop new relationships and ultimately build a team around you.
The role would suit a Corporate Partner who is looking for greater autonomy and the opportunity to put their own stamp on a regional practice, as well as a Senior Corporate Lawyer who has the experience, following and ambition to step into a genuine leadership role.

- Establish and lead the firm's East Midlands Corporate practice
- Develop a strong presence in the Nottingham and wider regional market
- Build relationships with owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and larger corporates
- Leverage the firm's existing national client base and referral network
- Develop a sustainable pipeline of high-quality Corporate work
- Recruit and develop a team as the practice grows
- Work closely with colleagues across the firm's national offices
- Play a key role in shaping the firm's wider East Midlands strategy
- Develop your own profile and reputation within the regional market
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced Corporate Lawyer with a strong track record of advising businesses on a broad range of corporate matters.
You may already be a Partner looking for a platform where you can have greater influence, or you could be a Senior Associate or Legal Director who has developed a strong client following and is ready to take the next step.
You Will Ideally Have
- Strong corporate experience gained within a recognised commercial law firm
- A good reputation within the Nottingham/East Midlands market
- A demonstrable client following and/or strong network of contacts
- Experience in corporate transactions including acquisitions, disposals, M and A and shareholder matters
- The ability and desire to develop new business
- Strong commercial and interpersonal skills
- Leadership qualities and the ambition to build and develop a team
