Protect public funding. Lead strategic change. Make a real impact.
We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Counter Fraud to lead and shape our organisation's counter fraud strategy, ensuring that public funding is protected and fraud risks are effectively identified, managed and mitigated.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of all strategic and operational counter fraud activity across the organisation. You'll lead a specialist team, oversee complex fraud investigations, strengthen fraud prevention frameworks and work with senior leaders and external government partners to build a strong culture of integrity and accountability.
If you're an experienced financial crime professional with a passion for protecting public funds and driving continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.
About The Role
As Head of Counter Fraud, you will be responsible for developing and delivering our organisation-wide counter fraud strategy while leading the operational delivery of investigations into external fraud, internal fraud, bribery and corruption.
You will provide expert advice across the organisation, ensuring compliance with Government Counter Fraud Functional Standards and relevant legislation, while embedding best practice and promoting fraud awareness at every level.
Working closely with senior leaders and external partners, you'll influence policy, strengthen controls and help safeguard the organisation against emerging fraud risks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
