Design Lead / Head of Craft
(Sydney)
This is a Sydney based role looking for internationally awarded talent. This role would suit a creative that does not fit into a discipline. A thinker, a maker and tinkerer. The ideal creative would thrive where design, technology, storytelling, culture and innovation intersect. You would be endlessly curious, constantly experimenting and driven by an obsession with craft.
This is a leadership opportunity to join a multidisciplinary creative team that brings together exceptional talent to solve ambitious problems in unexpected ways. It's fast, collaborative and designed for people who believe the best ideas come from pushing boundaries, questioning conventions and making things.
The title doesn't matter ECD, Design Lead / Head of Craft it's more about helping to define what comes next. This is a hands-on creative leadership role for someone who leads by doing. Someone who inspires through the quality of their work, champions experimentation and elevates everyone around them.

What you'll do
- Lead creative craft across multidisciplinary projects.
- Turn bold ideas into beautifully executed design.
- Collaborate with strategists, creatives, technologists, makers and specialists from a broad range of disciplines.
- Build prototypes, explore new technologies and challenge traditional ways of working.
- Mentor and inspire designers while fostering a culture of curiosity and creative excellence.
- Raise the standard of craft across every touchpoint.
What you'll bring
- An exceptional portfolio showcasing world-class craft and conceptual thinking.
- Highly awarded.
- Extensive experience across branding, design systems, digital, motion or emerging creative disciplines.
- Outstanding typography, layout, visual storytelling and art direction skills.
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite and Figma skills.
- A passion for emerging technology, AI and the future of creativity.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to bring diverse creative disciplines together.
- Experience leading creative teams while remaining deeply hands-on.
