About the Role
As Head of Creative, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of nine creatives (including three direct reports) spanning art direction, digital content and copywriting. You'll set the creative vision for Deliveroo's global brand, combining strategic thinking, creative excellence and strong leadership to deliver work that engages audiences and drives measurable business impact.
Working closely with Marketing, Product, Communications and regional teams, you'll champion a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement while ensuring our creative output remains bold, effective and true to our brand.
What You'll Do
- Set the creative vision: Define and evolve Deliveroo's creative direction in partnership with creative leads, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and business objectives.
- Lead and develop the team: Build, mentor and inspire a high-performing multidisciplinary team, fostering creativity, collaboration and growth.
- Shape creative strategy: Partner with Integrated Marketing and cross-functional stakeholders to develop creative strategies for global campaigns, product launches and key business initiatives.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration: Build strong relationships across global and local teams to ensure creative consistency and effective delivery.
- Champion creative excellence: Oversee projects from concept through execution, maintaining exceptional standards across every touchpoint.
- Optimise delivery: Partner with Project Management and Creative Operations to prioritise work, allocate resources and maximise team impact.
- Advance creative innovation: Work with Creative Operations and Creative Technology to identify, implement and scale AI-enabled workflows, automation and emerging creative technologies that improve quality, speed and efficiency.
- Stay ahead of the industry: Monitor creative, cultural and technology trends, bringing fresh thinking and new approaches into the team.

Requirements
- Significant experience leading high-performing creative teams across both agency and in-house environments.
- Strong expertise in brand strategy, creative direction and digital content.
- Proven track record of developing creative strategies that deliver measurable business impact, supported by a strong portfolio of work.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a passion for coaching, developing and growing creative talent.
- Hands-on creative background with the ability to contribute to both strategic thinking and creative development.
- Experience embedding AI-powered creative tools and workflows (such as Figma Make, Figma AI, Weave or similar) into day-to-day creative processes.
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end creative process, from insight and concept development through production and delivery.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leaders and collaborating across functions.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, leading through change and making informed decisions in a dynamic business.
- A strong creative instinct, balancing ambitious thinking with pragmatism and attention to detail.

Nice to Have
- Experience in both technology and high-growth in-house creative teams.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma and its AI capabilities, including Figma Make, Figma AI and Weave.
