This is an exciting opportunity to influence the future direction of one of the region's most vibrant and fast-evolving sectors. Working with businesses, universities, investors, cultural organisations, and government partners, you will play a leading role in developing opportunities that drive investment, unlock innovation, and support sustainable growth across South Yorkshire's Creative Industries ecosystem.

About The Role

As SYMCA's lead specialist for Creative Industries, you will provide strategic leadership to support the growth and development of the sector across South Yorkshire. You'll bring together partners, identify emerging opportunities, and help shape the policies, programmes, and investments that will enable businesses to thrive. Acting as both a sector champion and trusted advisor, you'll work with a diverse range of stakeholders to build a stronger, more connected, and more ambitious Creative Industries sector that delivers lasting economic impact.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead the development and delivery of a long-term vision and growth strategy for South Yorkshire's Creative Industries sector.
  • Build strong partnerships with creative businesses, universities, cultural organisations, investors, and public sector stakeholders.
  • Identify and secure opportunities for investment, funding, and collaboration that support sector growth.

About You

You'll enjoy bringing people together around a shared vision, identifying opportunities for growth, and developing partnerships that deliver meaningful outcomes. Comfortable operating at a senior level, you'll be equally confident shaping strategy, influencing stakeholders, and driving delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
