Head of CRU+ & Consulting Delivery Lead

CRU International is a leading provider of business intelligence and consulting services in the metals, mining, and fertilizer industries. With over 50 years of experience, we offer valuable insights and analysis that help our clients make informed decisions in an ever-changing global market.
About the role:
We are seeking an accomplished leader to head our CRU+ team and strengthen high-quality, efficient project delivery across CRU Consulting. As a member of the Consulting Leadership Group, you will set the strategic direction for CRU+, lead an international team, grow client relationships and new business opportunities, and build closer collaboration with our Analysis business.
This is a senior global leadership opportunity for someone who combines commercial judgement, consulting delivery excellence and an inclusive, high-performance leadership style.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Relevant first degree, such as Engineering or Economics.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a related industry.
- A relevant postgraduate degree and/or senior management experience in a related industry is preferred.
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and motivate others while providing clear direction.
- Strong strategic thinking, planning and execution skills.
- Experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, establishing best practice and setting high standards for quality.
- Sound commercial judgement, business development capability and negotiation skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to supporting cross-organisational initiatives.
- Ability to understand the wider business context and translate this into practical priorities and opportunities.
- Strong track record of delivering consulting and/or analysis in the commodities sector or related industries.
- Strong track record of selling and/or buying consulting work in the commodities sector or related industries.
- Experience leading and line-managing global teams.

Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the CRU+ team, developing talent and fostering a collaborative, high-performance working environment.
- Set, communicate and deliver the CRU+ strategy, sharing progress, results and team updates with CRU Consulting and wider stakeholder groups.
- Act as a role model across CRU Consulting, promoting behaviours aligned with CRU’s values of integrity, collaboration, excellence and client focus.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to deliver sustainable growth for CRU+.
- Use industry experience and professional networks to identify, develop and win new business opportunities across CRU Consulting.
- Represent CRU Consulting and the wider CRU business through marketing activities, industry events and relevant forums.
- Oversee CRU+ operations, including contracting, resource allocation, quality assurance and performance management.
- Drive initiatives that improve the efficiency, quality and consistency of project delivery across CRU Consulting.
- Collaborate with consulting teams and other CRU departments on behalf of CRU+.
- Lead engagement with CRU Analysis on behalf of CRU Consulting, identifying ways to create greater client and business value through coordinated business development and delivery.
