Head of Crypto Vertical (Business Growth Leader)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Crypto Vertical (Business Growth Leader) based in United Kingdom.

This is a high-impact business leadership role focused on building and scaling a high-growth crypto vertical into an autonomous business.

You will own the full P&L, with responsibility for revenue, profitability, margins, and sustainable growth.

The role combines commercial strategy, strategic partnerships, business development, operations, and go-to-market execution.

You will initially work hands-on to establish processes, build the core team, launch acquisition channels, and secure strategic B2B and B2B2C partnerships.

As the business matures, you will transition toward scaling the operation, shaping long-term strategy, and expanding its market opportunity.

You will work closely with Product, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Data, and Marketing while maintaining direct visibility with executive leadership.

This opportunity is suited to an entrepreneurial fintech or crypto leader who wants significant autonomy and the opportunity to build a business unit from the ground up.

Accountabilities:

  • Own the crypto vertical P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing, margin management, revenue, profitability, and business volume targets.
  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy for crypto products spanning wallets, cards, trading, payments, and related offerings.
  • Identify, negotiate, close, and manage strategic partnerships with issuers, processors, liquidity providers, payroll and HR SaaS platforms, neobanks, exchanges, aggregators, merchants, and other ecosystem participants.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, customer behavior, and regulatory developments, translating insights into actionable business and growth strategies.
  • Build a lean business organization from the ground up across growth, performance marketing, business development, partnerships, operations, and support.
  • Establish clear team structures, responsibilities, KPIs, performance expectations, and operating processes while coaching team members and addressing performance issues decisively.
  • Lead cross-functional execution by aligning Product, Legal and Compliance, Operations, Data, and Marketing around commercial objectives and service-level expectations.
  • Establish and manage core business processes, including partnership pipelines, SLAs, weekly KPIs, monthly P&L reporting, and operating rhythms.
  • Launch and optimize customer acquisition channels, working toward strong unit economics and a target LTV/CAC ratio of at least 3 in a priority segment.
  • Close the first strategic B2B and B2B2C partnerships and develop a repeatable engine for future commercial growth.
  • Present business plans, financial performance, strategic decisions, and growth opportunities clearly to founders and executive stakeholders.
  • Transition from hands-on operational execution toward broader scaling, strategic planning, and long-term business development as the organization matures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
