Join us as Head of Customer Data Science & AI and help shape the future of how TUI uses advanced analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence to create exceptional customer experiences.
Leading our Data Science & AI function within Marketing, Sales & Customers, you'll define the strategic direction for AI innovation while turning emerging technologies into meaningful business value at scale.

ABOUT THE JOB
You'll define and deliver the strategic vision, roadmap and direction for Data Science and AI across TUI's Marketing, Sales & Customers organisation, ensuring initiatives support enterprise goals and customer needs.

- Working closely with senior leaders across the business, you'll identify high-value opportunities for advanced analytics, machine learning and AI, building strong business cases that deliver measurable impact.
- You'll lead the development, deployment and optimisation of AI and machine learning solutions that enhance customer engagement, personalisation, business performance and decision-making.
- Through effective governance, you'll establish frameworks that support responsible AI, ethical decision-making, regulatory compliance and alignment with TUI's values.
- You'll champion innovation by exploring emerging technologies, including generative AI, and turning new capabilities into practical solutions that improve customer experiences and business outcomes.
- As a recognised leader within the organisation, you'll help foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous learning across the wider data science community.
ABOUT YOU
- You have proven success leading Data Science, Machine Learning or AI teams within complex organisations and delivering measurable business value through advanced analytics initiatives.
- A strong understanding of machine learning methodologies, AI applications and advanced analytics enables you to translate technical opportunities into meaningful commercial outcomes.
- 10+ years’ experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- You'll bring experience leading the full lifecycle of AI and machine learning solutions, from strategy and experimentation through to deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
- You will have proven leadership skills allowing you to build high-performing teams, develop talent and create an environment where innovation, learning and collaboration can flourish.
- You're comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and can communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible way to a variety of audiences.
- Experience with personalisation, customer analytics, recommendation systems, generative AI or large language models would be highly advantageous.
