Head of Data (Interim)
Location: Liverpool, UK / Hybrid
Duration: 6 months
Outside IR35
Start: ASAP
Daily rate: Up to £850 per day
We’re proud to be supporting a large, high-growth consumer business in the appointment of an Interim Head of Data for an initial six-month assignment.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for shaping and delivering the organisation’s data strategy, strengthening data capabilities and ensuring data is used effectively to drive commercial and customer outcomes.
You’ll lead a talented data function and work closely with senior stakeholders across technology, product, commercial and wider business teams. The role will combine strategic leadership with hands-on transformation, helping to establish clear priorities, improve ways of working and accelerate the value the organisation gets from its data.

We’re looking for someone with:
- Significant experience leading data / analytics functions at Head of Data or equivalent level
- A strong track record of data transformation and organisational change
- Experience developing and executing a clear data strategy and roadmap
- Strong understanding of modern data platforms, analytics, governance and data products
- The ability to influence and operate confidently at senior leadership / executive level
- Experience leading and developing high-performing data teams
- A pragmatic, commercially minded approach, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes
- Ideally, experience within a large-scale consumer, retail, e-commerce or similarly data-rich environment
