Do you want to shape data at the heart of a business where millions of customer interactions create huge opportunities for insight, personalisation and AI?

We’re looking for an exceptional Head of Data to take ownership of the entire data capability for a high-growth eCommerce business that is building a new team right here in the heart of Manchester.

The opportunity is bigger than simply running a data team. We’re looking for someone who can turn data into a genuine competitive advantage, building the foundations, developing the team and ensuring data, insight and AI are directly influencing how the business grows, operates and serves its customers.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Chief Technology Officer, this is a broad, influential leadership role spanning Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Science and AI, building and leading a team and working closely with senior leaders across Product, Technology, Commercial, Marketing and Operations.

You'll own the data strategy and lead the teams responsible for how data is collected, engineered, analysed and ultimately turned into action.

You'll inherit an established team, but there is significant opportunity to evolve the capability, improve how the different disciplines work together and accelerate the adoption of Data Science, Machine Learning and AI across the organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
