About the Role

Are you looking for a data leadership role where you will help to shape an organisation's approach to data?

This West Midlands based Housing Association is hiring for a Head of Data to take ownership of how data is understood, trusted, and used as a genuine business asset and enabler.

As Head of Data, you’ll have the autonomy to craft your own team and deliver your own vision for data governance, analytics and tooling. You will build a larger data function and will shape how data comes together to help drive business decisions. A data roadmap has been established, and reporting processes exist, however this role will look at breathing new life into the data programme and be the flag-bearer for data across the organisation, while modernising the data approach.

This role is responsible for all things data so you’ll shape the organisation's enterprise data approach. Working closely with your data team and data stakeholders across the group, you'll help define how data is structured, develop the organisation's data capability, and ensure governance is embedded into the technical landscape.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
