Head of Data & Analytics
Salary - Negotiable
London/ Hybrid
A growing financial services organisation is looking for an experienced Head of Data & Analytics to define and deliver its enterprise data strategy and help establish data as a strategic asset across the business.
Reporting to the executive, you’ll lead data engineering, analytics, reporting and governance, while building the foundations needed to support advanced analytics, automation, and AI.
The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of the organisation’s data and analytics agenda, working closely with Software Development, Product, Operations, and senior business leaders to turn data into meaningful commercial and operational outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and deliver the enterprise data and analytics strategy.
- Establish effective data governance, standards, and controls.
- Improve data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organisation.
- Lead the development of enterprise reporting, MI, and insight capabilities.
- Develop a scalable modern data platform to support future growth.
- Enable greater self-service reporting and analytics.
- Lead data engineering and data management activities.
- Identify opportunities to leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI.
- Build a data-driven culture through education, engagement, and adoption.
- Ensure data and information practices meet regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with data and analytics suppliers and partners.

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a commercially-minded data leader who can operate strategically while remaining close enough to delivery to make things happen.
- Demonstrable experience across data, analytics, BI, or related leadership roles.
- Proven experience building and leading data and analytics teams.
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, data management, and data governance.
- Experience delivering enterprise reporting, dashboards, and insight capabilities.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and modern analytics platforms.
- Understanding of AI, predictive analytics, and data science opportunities.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including at executive level.
- Experience working within a financial/regulated environment would be advantageous.
