Head of Data, Analytics & AI
At B&M, we are undertaking a significant technology and business transformation programme, placing data, analytics and artificial intelligence at the heart of how decisions are made, processes are improved and value is created. As Head of Data, Analytics & AI, you will play a critical leadership role in defining and delivering the enterprise data strategy, enabling the organisation to become increasingly data-driven, insight-led and innovation focused.
This is a highly strategic leadership position responsible for building and scaling enterprise-wide data, analytics and AI capabilities. Working closely with executive stakeholders, technology teams and business leaders, you will ensure data is trusted, accessible and effectively leveraged to drive growth, operational efficiency and competitive advantage across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the enterprise data, analytics and AI strategy, establishing governance frameworks, ownership models and data quality standards across the organisation.
- Lead the development of modern, scalable and secure data platforms, driving data engineering excellence, DataOps practices and enterprise-wide data accessibility.
- Build advanced analytics and business intelligence capabilities that enable fact-based decision making and provide actionable insight across all business functions.
- Develop and execute the organisation's AI roadmap, identifying and delivering high-value use cases in automation, predictive analytics, machine learning and emerging technologies.
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing Data, Analytics & AI function, influencing senior stakeholders and driving adoption of a data-driven culture across B&M.

The Ideal Candidate
- Significant leadership experience within enterprise Data, Analytics, Business Intelligence or AI functions, with a proven track record of delivering transformational programmes.
- Deep expertise in data strategy, governance, data management, analytics and modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams across data engineering, business intelligence, data science and AI disciplines.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence executive stakeholders, manage third-party partners and align technology investment with business outcomes.
- Demonstrable experience delivering AI, machine learning or advanced analytics initiatives, ideally within a retail, consumer, logistics or distribution environment.
