What You’ll Do

Avalara is seeking a business-savvy, action-oriented analytics leader to join the Global Analytics and Insights team as Head of Data and Analytics, EMEA.

The Head of Data and Analytics, EMEA is a hands-on, highly analytical leader who partners with EMEA GTM leadership, Finance, and the global Business Analytics function to drive sales efficiency, pipeline growth, and forecasting accuracy across the region.

This role serves as the analytical backbone for EMEA GTM Operations, responsible for translating complex regional data into actionable insights, forecasts, and reporting that enable predictable, efficient revenue growth.

Aligned with Avalara's increasing focus on AI-powered decisioning, automation, and intelligent workflows, this role will help embed advanced analytics and AI into core EMEA GTM processes, driving smarter, faster, and more scalable revenue execution across the region.

The ideal candidate brings 7–10+ years of experience in SaaS GTM analytics, sales analytics, or business intelligence, with strong forecasting fundamentals and hands-on experience with modern data and GTM tooling (e.g., Salesforce, data warehouses, BI and AI-enabled platforms).

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

GTM Performance Insights, BI & Self-Service Analytics

  • Localize and maintain the global KPI framework for EMEA sales performance, incorporating predictive and prescriptive metrics alongside standard reporting.
  • Build and maintain leadership-ready presentations and analytics environments that provide visibility into EMEA funnel conversion and velocity, pipeline and bookings health, and sales productivity.
  • Champion self-service analytics and data democratization within the EMEA GTM organization, equipping regional teams with intuitive, insight-rich tools.
  • Analyze EMEA quota attainment and productivity trends, providing recommendations for resource optimization and coverage adjustments to regional leadership.

Sales Analytics, Forecasting & AI-Driven Insights

  • Own regional forecasting analytics, building and maintaining models to predict bookings, renewals, churn, and expansion across EMEA segments and markets.
  • Continuously improve forecasting precision through automation and incorporation of regional behavioral and market signals, in partnership with the global analytics team.
  • Support end-to-end funnel analytics for EMEA, from pipeline creation through closed-won and retention, identifying regional conversion drivers and leakage risks.
  • Maintain frameworks to measure EMEA pipeline health, velocity, and quality, leveraging AI-driven scoring (e.g., deal likelihood, pipeline risk, next-best-action signals) developed by the global team.
  • Analyze regional sales cycle dynamics, deal progression patterns, and win/loss drivers to surface actionable trends for EMEA leadership.
  • Partner with EMEA Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to translate insights into regional GTM plays, prioritization models, and workflow automation.
  • Ensure EMEA reporting aligns with global funnel metric definitions and governance standards while capturing region-specific nuances (currency, local compliance, market maturity).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
