Head of Data & Business Intelligence

Location: Ealing / Hybrid (some office attendance required)
Salary: £85,168-£95,000 (dependent on experience)
Contract type: Permanent – Full Time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
DBS Level: Basic

About the Role

Lead the delivery of trusted data, reporting, and business intelligence across A2Dominion. Are you a strategic data and BI leader who believes organisations should operate from a single, trusted view of performance? Do you have experience building high-performing reporting and business intelligence functions that empower better decision-making while maintaining strong governance and control? If so, this could be the opportunity for you.

We're looking for a Head of Data & Business Intelligence to lead A2Dominion's enterprise reporting and BI capability. Reporting to the Director of Data & Analytics, you'll play a key role in ensuring the organisation has access to trusted, accessible, and consistent performance information that supports operational, regulatory, and strategic decision-making.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of reporting and business intelligence at A2Dominion. You'll lead the move away from fragmented reporting towards a modern, governed, and self-service enabled BI environment built on trusted data products and consistent KPI definitions.

Working closely with colleagues across Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Governance, and Data Products, you'll ensure reporting, dashboards, and performance measures are built on robust foundations, delivering a true single version of the truth across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver A2Dominion's Business Intelligence strategy, ensuring alignment with the wider Data Strategy and organisational objectives.
  • Lead the development of a modern enterprise BI capability that supports operational performance, regulatory reporting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Establish consistent standards for reporting, dashboard design, KPI development, and performance measurement across the organisation.
  • Ensure all reporting is built from certified, governed, and trusted data products, creating a single and consistent view of performance.
  • Own the delivery of Board, Executive, and corporate performance reporting, ensuring information is clear, accessible, and aligned to organisational priorities.
  • Drive the adoption of self-service BI capabilities, enabling colleagues to safely access and utilise trusted data within defined governance frameworks.
  • Develop standards, training, and support models that balance accessibility, consistency, and control.
  • Work closely with Data Products and Data Governance teams to ensure definitions, logic, and reporting structures remain consistent across all business areas.
  • Promote the adoption of standard reporting tools, dashboards, and BI solutions whilst reducing duplication and unmanaged reporting.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping them make informed decisions based on robust performance information.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Business Intelligence function, creating scalable delivery models, governance processes, and quality assurance standards.
  • Champion continuous improvement and innovation across reporting and BI services.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
