How do you get an entire organization to take ownership of its data — not because a policy tells them to, but because they understand the difference great data can make?
We're looking for a Head of Data Operations & Governance to lead a major data transformation. This is much more than a governance role. You'll join at a point where the organisation is building its data capability almost from the ground up. Data ownership and stewardship are still relatively immature, a major CRM transformation is underway, AI adoption is accelerating, and there is a significant opportunity to change how data is understood and used across the organisation.
You'll lead a team while working closely with the Chief Data Officer, Data Architecture & Engineering teams plus senior leadership across the Company.

- Establishing meaningful data ownership and stewardship across priority datasets.
- Building and embedding modern data quality and governance frameworks.
- Supporting a major Siebel-to-Salesforce transformation, creating a trusted view of supporter data.
- Helping create the data foundations required to unlock AI and automation.
- Improving governance around information currently held across environments such as SharePoint.
- Introducing modern approaches to data cataloguing, discovery, observability and governance tooling.
- Restructuring and developing the existing Data Operations & Governance team.
- Turning data governance from a technical concept into something colleagues across the organisation genuinely understand and value.
The technical knowledge matters — but your ability to influence and inspire people matters just as much. We're looking for someone who can sit with a senior stakeholder, understand what matters to them, and explain data ownership in their language rather than ours. The organisation largely needs to win people over through the value of good data rather than relying on regulation to force behavioural change.

You'll ideally bring broad experience from a complex commercial, public-sector or similarly large organisation, with strong experience across data governance, data quality, ownership/stewardship and organisational change.
You should be technically credible enough to work effectively alongside Data Architecture and Engineering and be excited about modern data tooling and approaches.
