Salary up to £110,000
Hybrid: 2 days per week in East London

We’re partnering with a well known name to find a senior data leader who can inspire stakeholders, transform a team and deliver tangible business outcomes.
This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape an organisation-wide data operations and governance function. You’ll inherit a team of seven, develop its capability and reshape how it works to support an ambitious, data-focused organisation.
Winning people over is central to this role. You’ll build relationships with senior leaders across marketing, finance, HR and research-related functions, understand their priorities and show how better data helps them achieve their goals. You’ll bring enthusiasm, creative thinking and a clear commercial case for change.

What you’ll do
- Set and deliver the direction for data operations, quality and governance.
- Transform and develop the team, making confident decisions about structure, skills and priorities.
- Secure senior stakeholder commitment to data ownership and stewardship.
- Make data easier to find, understand and trust through effective cataloguing, quality and observability tools.
- Turn complex technical challenges into compelling business cases with clear costs, benefits and measurable outcomes.
- Take operational accountability for delivery and sustained improvement.
What you’ll bring
- Senior leadership experience in data governance, data quality or data operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with evidence of winning support through influence and persuasion.
- The energy and enthusiasm to excite people about the possibilities of data.
- Experience leading teams through change, developing people and making difficult decisions.
- Commercial judgement and a track record of delivering practical business benefits.
- Technical credibility and experience with modern data tools—specific vendors are less important.
