Head of Data Platform
Up to £120,000 London
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a major enterprise data transformation for a large-scale financial services organisation. You'll play a pivotal role in defining data strategy, shaping cloud architecture and building a modern platform that supports business-critical decision making across the organisation.
The Company
Our client is a well-established financial services business undergoing significant investment in its data and technology capabilities. With a strong focus on modernisation, they are building a next-generation cloud data platform and are looking for an experienced leader to drive that journey forward.
The Role
- Define and deliver the enterprise Data Platform strategy, roadmap and architecture
- Lead the migration from legacy data environments to a modern cloud platform
- Build, develop and scale a high-performing Data Platform and Engineering function
- Drive best practice across data engineering, governance, security and compliance
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to influence business-wide data strategy
- Manage third-party vendors and delivery partners to ensure successful execution of strategic programmes

Your Skills and Experience
- Proven experience building enterprise-scale cloud data platforms
- Strong leadership experience managing Data Engineering teams and senior technical professionals
- Experience delivering cloud migration and large-scale data transformation programmes
- Strong knowledge of AWS and modern data platform technologies
- Good understanding of data governance, security and regulatory requirements
- Experience operating within regulated industries is beneficial
- Previous experience managing outsourced delivery partners is advantageous

Salary and Benefits
- Up to £120,000 base salary
- 10% annual bonus
- 10% employer pension contribution
- 32 days annual leave
