About The Role
Deadline for applications: 11:59pm on 31st August 2026
At the highest level, Delivery is a TPXimpact product. We are passionate about quality and bringing the right skills together to tackle complex problems. The Head of Delivery Practice is a crucial leadership role, and will be part of the TPXimpact leadership team, responsible for overseeing and advancing the Delivery Management capability across the business. Operating within a decentralised, matrixed Pod structure, this role balances operational practice leadership, strategic growth, large-scale programme governance, and hands-on client delivery. You will ensure consistent, high-quality delivery standards while maintaining the agility needed to scale the team effectively.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Engagement & Programme Leadership: Define the standard for running large-scale, multi-disciplinary programmes alongside the Account Management Team. Act as the primary delivery interface with the Account Management Team to ensure engagements align with commercial account plans, actively managing project margins, scope control, and spotting upsell opportunities.
- Delivery Methods & Quality: Act as a champion of Agile and Lean ways of working, conducting regular project health checks and assurance reviews to mitigate delivery risks early and maintain high standards.
- Delivery Portfolio & Capability: Oversee workforce architecture and capacity management for the delivery team. This includes resourcing elements for Learning & Development (L&D), driving training initiatives to build practitioner skills, maintaining progression frameworks, and exploring opportunities to commercialise training.
- Delivery Strategy & Growth: Actively support the achievement of TPXimpact growth targets by contributing to sales, major bids, proposition development, and managing the sales-to-delivery handover to ensure sold work is deliverable.
General Responsibilities
- Financial & Commercial Support: Actively support the Delivery Director in ensuring the practice meets its delivery P&L, gross margin, and overall utilisation targets.
- Billable Delivery: Work across key strategic clients, remaining 50% billable and acting as a senior escalation point or Engagement Lead for complex delivery challenges.
- Line Management & Pastoral Care: Provide line management, coaching, and talent development within the self-governed Delivery Pod structure, fostering a psychologically safe environment.
- Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for Delivery Managers. You are directly responsible for helping to scale the team to align with our revenue targets and project demand.
- Continuous Improvement: Run regular internal and external retrospectives to ensure learning is captured, shared, and incorporated into our delivery methodology.
- Deputise: Deputise for the Delivery Director as and when required on operational and strategic matters.
- Continuously maintain and update skills and knowledge to stay current within your relevant field of expertise.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
