Head of Demand Generation - Company details to be shared at interview
Location: Manchester city centre, 4 days per week in office
Salary: c.£70,000- £80,000
Bonus: Performance-related
We’re hiring a senior demand generation leader to take full ownership of the function, from shaping client strategy through to making sure the work gets delivered and creates measurable commercial value.
This is a broad role rather than a narrow performance marketing position. You’ll work across proposition, channels, CRM, automation, lifecycle, lead management, sales handover and measurement, while also leading senior client conversations and bringing more structure to how work is prioritised and delivered.
The role will suit someone with strong B2B demand generation experience, ideally gained across both agency and in-house environments. You’ll need to be comfortable moving between strategy and execution, challenging briefs when needed, making decisions with incomplete information and keeping multiple client work streams moving.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
- Strong B2B demand generation experience
- Broad, multi-channel marketing knowledge rather than a single-channel specialism
- Practical CRM, automation and lead lifecycle experience
- Strong commercial judgement and client-facing confidence
- Comfortable being hands-on as well as setting strategy
- Agency experience would be particularly useful
In the first few months, the focus will be on getting control of delivery, giving clients clear senior ownership and creating a more reliable operating model. Longer term, the goal is to build a stronger proposition, win more demand generation work and create a clearer link between marketing activity and revenue.
The hiring process includes an initial conversation, an in-person interview with senior leadership and a practical task based on a realistic demand generation brief.
