Head of Private Client | 5+ PQE | Worcestershire | Salary from £45,000, plus annual bonus
The Opportunity
A well-established and highly regarded Worcestershire law firm is seeking an experienced Head of Private Client to lead its successful and well-supported Private Client department. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive looking to take ownership of a thriving department while enjoying a genuine work-life balance. The successful candidate will inherit a well-managed caseload, a strong local reputation, and a loyal client base, allowing them to focus on developing the department rather than firefighting existing issues. The firm has built an enviable reputation across the local community and acts for a wide range of high-net-worth individuals and families, handling complex and often substantial estates.
The Role
You will oversee and further develop an established Private Client department, dealing with a broad range of matters including:
- Wills and estate planning
- Probate and estate administration
- Trust creation and administration
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Court of Protection matters
- Inheritance Tax planning
- High-value and complex estates
- Lifetime wealth preservation and succession planning

The department is organised, profitable, and will be handed over in excellent condition.
The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from:
- Qualified Solicitors
- Chartered Legal Executives (FCILEx)
- Experienced Private Client lawyers with management or leadership experience
The ideal candidate will:
- Have significant experience handling a full spectrum of Private Client matters
- Be comfortable managing and developing a department
- Enjoy building long-term client relationships
- Be commercially aware and proactive
- Be looking for a long-term career move with progression prospects
- Have aspirations towards future partnership
