Why this role exists

FreightSuite is the Agentic TMS taking on all legacy TMS providers to revolutionise forwarding. FreightSuite is well backed by VCs and this role has the chance to join pre Series A which is a unique opportunity for the right hire who wants to build processes, scale teams and take on a leadership role in a rapidly growing org.

Freight forwarding has run on the same handful of systems for thirty years, and we are going after that. Two things decide whether we succeed. The first is the deployment strategy we put in front of a prospect during the sales cycle, because that is often what wins the deal. The second is what actually happens after signature: whether the rollout lands, and whether the customer's operation genuinely adopts the software rather than working around it.

Both of those sit with this role. There is no implementation methodology here for you to inherit. You would be building it from the ground up, working alongside industry experts who understand forwarding thoroughly but need support to get software live, rolled out and adopted across their business.

You will be measured on two things above all others: converting CARR to ARR, and hitting the go-live dates we have contracted.

What you will own

• Building the implementation methodology from scratch. The phases, the gates, the artefacts (discovery, solution design, data migration plan, UAT scripts, cutover runbook, hypercare exit) and the readiness criteria that decide whether a customer goes live or waits.
• CARR to ARR conversion. The elapsed time between a contract being signed and the customer running live shipments is the number the business watches most closely, and reducing it is yours.
• Deployment strategy inside the sales cycle. You work the deal with the commercial team before signature, so that the system landscape, integration dependencies, the data the customer cannot produce and the sites likely to resist are all understood and planned for. A credible deployment plan is part of how we win business, not just how we service it.
• Every implementation end to end, from signature through hypercare exit and handover into Customer Success.
• Data migration. Master data first (customers, carriers, agents, tariffs and rate cards, locations, charge codes), then an agreed cut of historical shipments, with dry runs and reconciliation counts.
• Integrations. Carrier and portal connectivity, EDI and AS2, customs filings, accounting and ERP interfaces, visibility and telematics. You scope them, challenge the estimates and decide what should become standard.
• UAT through to signed acceptance across Ocean, Road and Air, with defect triage the customer accepts.
• Change management and adoption. Training, super-users, time on the floor in the first weeks, and honest reporting on which sites are using the system and which are not.
• Working with the forwarding specialists inside our customers and inside our own business. They know the operation better than anyone. Your job is to turn that knowledge into a live, adopted system.
• Escalation, and hiring the implementation team as volume grows.
