Head of Design
B2C eCommerce
Location: London – Hybrid working.
Position Type: Permanent – salary £110K base plus generous benefits.
About the Role
We’re looking for an exceptional Head of Design to lead and elevate Product Design across a growing B2C eCommerce business.
You’ll lead a team of four experienced Product Designers and play a key role in raising the quality bar across UX, interaction, and visual design, while establishing Design as an equal strategic partner to Product and Engineering.
This is a leadership role for someone who gets genuine satisfaction from helping talented designers become exceptional—someone with outstanding product design judgement, strong craft credibility, and the confidence to challenge teams to produce better work.

Key Responsibilities
- Coaching and developing an experienced Product Design team
- Creating a strong culture of critique, learning, and high standards
- Defining a clear design vision and principles
- Raising UX, interaction, and visual design quality across the product experience
- Partnering with Product, Engineering, Data & AI leadership to shape product direction
- Strengthening design systems, research, and design practices
- Connecting great design with measurable customer and commercial outcomes
