Head of Design – Luxury Womenswear

URGENT ROLE CV & PORTFOLIO REQUIRED TODAY

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Head of Design to join an established luxury womenswear brand and play a key role in shaping its future creative direction.

Working closely with the Creative Director, you will lead and inspire a talented Design Team, translating original concepts into distinctive, beautifully executed and commercially successful collections.

You will oversee seasonal and capsule collections from initial research and concept development through to fittings and final samples. Partnering closely with Atelier, Product Development, Production and Commercial teams, you will ensure each collection delivers against the brand vision, critical path and commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the creative development of seasonal and capsule collections.
  • Develop original concepts, mood boards, colour palettes, fabric direction and product ideas.
  • Oversee the design process from initial sketch and drape through to final sample.
  • Lead development, production and show fittings.
  • Work closely with the Atelier to resolve fit, construction and technical challenges.
  • Ensure collections are creatively strong, commercially relevant and delivered on time.
  • Direct, motivate and develop the Design Team.
  • Present collection direction and progress at key milestone meetings.
  • Provide creative input across shoots, shows and brand presentations.
  • Represent and support the Creative Director when required.

About you

  • An experienced Senior Womenswear Designer, Design Manager or Head of Design from a luxury or premium brand.
  • A confident and inspiring team leader.
  • Highly creative with strong commercial awareness and luxury sensibility.
  • Technically knowledgeable across garment construction, fit, draping and fabrics.
  • Experienced in leading multiple collections from concept through to final product.
  • Collaborative, resilient and comfortable working within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office.
  • Eligible to work in the UK without restriction.
