Ready to play a pivotal role in a new roadmap with multiple projects, aligning them all to business goals and growth?

Our client is seeking an experienced digital leader to shape and deliver its long-term digital strategy as part of a significant business transformation programme.

This is a strategic leadership appointment responsible for defining the organisation's digital vision, driving digital innovation and building the technology, customer experience and data capabilities required to support future growth.

Working closely with senior leadership, the successful individual will lead digital transformation across customer-facing platforms, digital products, data, AI and customer engagement, ensuring technology investments deliver measurable commercial value. This is an opportunity to influence business strategy, lead high-performing digital teams and play a key role in the organisation's long-term growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Strategy

  • Develop and own the organisation's long-term digital strategy.
  • Define and deliver a clear digital roadmap aligned to business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, automation and emerging technologies.

Digital Commerce & Customer Experience

  • Lead the performance and development of digital platforms.
  • Own the end-to-end customer journey across all digital touchpoints.
  • Drive improvements in customer engagement, conversion and user experience.

Data & Analytics

  • Develop a data-driven culture across the organisation.
  • Transform customer and commercial data into actionable business insight.
  • Work closely with data and analytics teams to improve reporting, forecasting and decision-making.

Digital Innovation

  • Evaluate and implement emerging digital technologies including AI, automation and personalisation.
  • Ensure the organisation remains aligned with industry best practice and evolving customer expectations.

Product & Platform Development

  • Define digital product priorities and future platform enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Technology teams and third-party partners to deliver digital initiatives.
  • Maintain governance over digital delivery and investment priorities.

Leadership

  • Build, develop and mentor high-performing digital teams.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Provide strategic direction across Digital, Data and Customer Experience functions.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships across the business.
  • Influence senior leadership through data-led recommendations and strategic insight.
  • Manage relationships with technology suppliers and external delivery partners.

Financial Management

  • Manage digital investment and budgets.
  • Ensure digital initiatives deliver measurable commercial return and business value.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience leading digital strategy within complex organisations.
  • Strong background in Digital Commerce, eCommerce or Digital Product leadership.
  • Experience delivering digital transformation programmes.
  • Commercial understanding of digital growth and customer engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of customer journey optimisation and digital experience.
  • Experience working with customer data, analytics and insight.
  • Understanding of CRM, marketing technology and digital platforms.
  • Exposure to AI, automation and emerging digital technologies.
  • Experience leading digital product development and platform roadmaps.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at Executive level.
  • Experience managing agencies, technology partners and third-party suppliers.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
